Tyrone decide not to appeal €10k Omagh brawl fine

The Tyrone County Board has decided not to appeal the fine it received following the violence that marred the county's recent league clash with Dublin.

Tyrone were fined €10,000 by the GAA as a punishment for several brawls that broke out during the game in Omagh on February 5.

Kevin Hughes, Michael McGee and Owen Mulligan were also given eight-week suspensions and the county board is allowing them to decide for themselves whether to mount appeals.

GAA officials in Dublin have already indicated their intention to appeal similar bans imposed on four of their players - Kevin Bonner, Alan Brogan, Brian Cullen and Ciaran Whelan.
