The Antrim football squad will take on an experimental look for the impending Dr McKenna Cup campaign with up to 13 newcomers included.

Saffrons manager Mickey Culbert will be forced to field an experimental line-up for the opening months of the season as number of his regulars are unavailable due to Ulster champions St Gall's involvement in the AIB All-Ireland club semi-finals.

Shane Devlin, Niall Enright, Paul Doherty and Kevin Madden are also sidelined due to injury.

Antrim begin their McKenna campaign against Queen's University at Casement Park on Sunday. The squad newcomers include Paddy Cunningham, Owen Doherty, Patrick Carey, Owen Roe O'Neill and Niall Scullion.

Culbert's new panel had a run-out against the University of Ulster Jordanstown last Saturday, winning the challenge match 2-15 to 1-12.
