Decision on opening Croke Park expected today

The Central Council of the GAA will vote today on whether to throw open the doors of Croke Park to international sport.

It was decided at the Association's Annual Congress at Easter that its most powerful body would decide on whether to allow international soccer and rugby at GAA headquarters.

With Lansdowne Road's North Terrace shut, it has been speculated that the move could be approved more quickly than had been anticipated.
