National League fixtures confirmed
The GAA has confirmed the list of fixtures for the 2006 season's Allianz National Football and Hurling Leagues.
The 2006 Football League programme is a new draw as 2005 was the second year of a two-year cycle.
There will be six floodlit games in Division 1, each played on the Saturday evening of rounds one to six. All of these games will be televised live on Setanta Sports. TG4 will also be showing a series of games live on Sundays.
In the Allianz Hurling League, there will be no second series of games as was the case in 2004 and 2005. The play-off stages will include quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals in Divisions 1, 2 and 3.
The inclusion of the quarter-finals is designed to ensure a more competitive league and additional quality games will be played in the lead up to the finals. TG4 will also show a series of live hurling games on Sundays.
