Big guns avoid each other in SFC draw

The 2006 football championship draw has just been made.

The draw has thrown up many interesting ties, with Munster giants Cork and Kerry avoiding each other in Munster.

Mayo and Galway are also in separate sections of the Connacht draw.

Leinster SFC

Westmeath V Offaly. The winner will play Kildare in the quarterfinals.

Meath V Louth. The winner will play Wexford in the quarterfinals.

Wicklow V Carlow. The winner will play Laois in the quarterfinals.

The last quarterfinal will see Longford take on Dublin.

Munster SFC

Kerry V Waterford. The winner will play Tipperary in the semifinals.

Clare V Limerick. The winner will play Cork semifinals.

Connacht SFC

The winner of New York V Roscommon will play Sligo V Galway in the semi finals.

The winner of London V Mayo will play Leitrim in the semi finals.

Ulster SFC (previously drawn)

The winner of Down V Cavan will play Donegal in the quarterfinals.

Armagh will play Monaghan in the quarterfinals.

Fermanagh will play Antrim in the quarterfinals.

Tyrone will play Derry in the quarterfinals.
