Meath gets new football sponsor

Meath County Board has confirmed that the Menolly Group is to sponsor the Royal County's football teams for the next three years.

Menolly, owned by Seamus Ross, will succeed Kepak as team sponsors for the senior, junior, U21 and minor football panels until 2008.

County board secretary Barney Allen said: "We are delighted with the tremendous response to our search for a sponsor and we would like to thank all the other applicants for their interest.

"We are looking forward to 2006 with great anticipation with our new team manager (Eamonn Barry) and sponsor.

"Seamus Ross is a long-time supporter of GAA with his native Co Longford."

The Menolly Group is due to open the Dunboyne Hotel and Spa in April.
