Another homecoming as Cork’s victorious camogie team returns

There is another homecoming in Cork tonight as the Rebels camogie team returns to Leeside with the O'Duffy Cup after their four-point win over Tipperary at Croke Park yesterday.

Their train arrives at Kent Station tonight at 7:45pm, before a reception at the Imperial Hotel at 8:45pm.

Though upset at having their victory celebrations yesterday marred by heavy-handed security, Cork captain Elaine Burke said it was a tremendous triumph.

“We had that belief in ourselves, y’know, we weren’t going to stop play until the final whistle sounded and I think we showed at the end that we had a lot left in the tank,” she said.
