Brogan pulls out of Ireland Rules squad

Alan Brogan has become the second Dublin footballer in the space of a week to pull out of the Ireland squad for next month's International Rules Series in Australia.

The St Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh attacker will require surgery on the ankle injury he sustained in the All-Ireland quarter-final replay with Tyrone, and following on from Ciaran Whelan's withdrawal, Brogan has ruled himself out of the trip Down Under.
