Ticket blitz for quarter-final replay
The GAA have confirmed that 13,000 tickets for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final replay between Dublin and Tyrone sold out this morning on the internet in just an hour.
The tickets for the eagerly-awaited clash went on general sale this morning through the GAA's website, www.gaa.ie, and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
All remaining tickets for the Croke Park tie have been allocated to the county boards in the participating counties. An announcement in respect of the sale of any tickets returned from County Boards will be made later in the week should such a situation arise.
The replay will have a 2.30pm throw-in at Croker due to a clash with the O2 in the Park concert at the Phoenix Park.
GAA officials will be hoping to pull in a crowd close to capacity on Saturday after last weekend's offerings - Saturday's SFC quarter-final between Armagh and Laois (32,187) and Sunday's SHC semi-final between Galway and Kilkenny (39,975) - drew disappointing attendances.
