Clare, Wexford wait on injuries

Both Clare and Wexford are to wait to name their teams for Sunday's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final with Banner boss Anthony Daly likely to finalise his side just before throw-in at Croke Park.

Daly's main injury worry is former minor and under-21 star Barry Nugent, who made his championship debut in June. The 22-year-old Eire Og attacker has been suffering from a niggling hamstring injury in recent weeks.

Wexford, who lost to Clare - 3-7 to 3-15 in a 2002 qualifier - in the sides' only previous Championship meeting, are waiting on injury updates on David 'Doc' O'Connor, Mitch Jordan and experienced midfielder Adrian Fenlon.

1996 All-star Fenlon is the worst of manager Seamus Murphy's worries after he damaged his ankle ligaments in the Leinster final loss to Kilkenny, three weeks ago. Fenlon has only trained lightly since.
