Armagh delay team announcement

Armagh manager Joe Kernan has put off his team announcement for Saturday's Ulster SFC final replay against Tyrone until Thursday.

Kernan's side, which was expected to be finalised tonight, will definitely be without midfielder John Toal, who is suffering from a long-term knee injury.

Clady clubman Philip Loughran is expected to deputise at centre field. With no fresh injury worries, Kernan's delay could be put down to mind-games.

Saturday's clash with the Red Hands at Croker will be Armagh's sixth championship outing of the summer so far.

The tireless Orchardmen, who claimed their first league title in May, already had nine league games under their belts before they opened their Ulster defence against Fermanagh three months ago.

Armagh and Tyrone are two of the five Ulster counties still in the hunt for the Sam Maguire Cup. Derry, Monaghan and Cavan are still in contention in the qualifiers.
