Enright makes Premier return
2001 All-Star Eddie Enright has earned a recall to the Tipperary hurling panel after a year out of inter-county action.
The Thurles Sarsfields midfielder has been sidelined with an acute shoulder injury since breaking his AC joint against Limerick in last summer's All-Ireland SHC qualifiers.
The news of Enright's return to Ken Hogan's Tipp squad has tempered the Premier county's recent tale of injury woes.
Borrisoleigh defender Martin Maher, who made his championship debut against Clare in 2003, suffered a broken arm in a club game last weekend and is out for the remainder of the season.
The beaten Munster finalists, who will learn of their 2005 All-Ireland quarter-final opponents this weekend, are also struggling in the forward department.
Thurles marksman Lar Corbett is fighting to shift a hamstring injury, as is Evan Sweeney, Corbett's replacement in the Munster semi-final win over Clare.
