McGee recovers in time for Donegal
Donegal manager Brian McEniff has named Eamonn McGee in his side for Sunday's SFC qualifier against Cavan, after the Sligo IT defender's leg responded well to intensive physiotherapy.
McGee is at right corner-back for the Breffni Park tie, while McEniff has shuffled his half-back line with Damien Diver and Shane Carr swapping flanks and skipper Barry Monaghan remaining in the centre.
Elsewhere, high-fielded Stephen McDermott continues in midfield, ahead of Brendan Boyle, and the corner forward duo of Colm McFadden and Brendan Devenney, who accounted for nine of Donegal's 0-16 tally in last weekend's first round win in Wicklow, will again form the fulcrum of the Tir Chonaill men's forward unit.
Boss McEniff is thankful his side do not have too far to travel on Sunday.
"We would have loved to get a home draw, but we've got used to playing away from home," said the noted hotelier.
"A lot of boys have had to do a fair bit of travelling. We would have liked to have avoided another Ulster team.
"But I suppose I'd rather be playing down in Cavan as opposed to travelling down to Limerick."
Cavan have only won once in six All-Ireland qualifier outings since 2001.
