Monaghan manager Seamus McEnaney left a vacancy for at right half-forward as he named his line-up for Sunday's Ulster SFC quarter-final against Derry at Clones.

McEnaney is sweating on the fitness of James McElroy, who picked up an ankle injury in a club game recently.

The Division 2 champions are also without the suspended Rory Woods, and Mark Daly, who is ruled out with an Achilles injury.

Dermot McArdle replaces Woods at top of the right, while Fergal Duffy is chosen to partner Dick Clerkin at midfield

MONAGHAN (SFC v Derry): S Duffy; G McQuaid, V Corey, C Flanagan; D Freeman, J Coyle, S Gollogly; D Clerkin, F Duffy; AN Other, Paul Finlay, N Corrigan; T Freeman, R Ronaghan, D McArdle.
