Forde to captain Wexford due to Hudson injury

Wexford football captain John Hudson has failed to recover from injury and misses out on the Models' Leinster SFC quarter-final against Carlow at Croke Park on Sunday.

The Starlights club man has been ruled out with a calf muscle injury and AllStar attacker Mattie Forde captains the league finalists for the tie.

Manager Pat Roe makes three changes in all from the side that fell to Armagh in the league final.

Padraic Curtis returns to the defence after injury, freeing Shane Cullen to move to the attack, where he takes over from the injured John Hegarty.

Diarmuid Kinsella, who scored a goal in the league final against Armagh, drops to the bench and is replaced by teenager PJ Banville.

U21 star Darren Foran is set to lead the attack, while Paddy Colfer moves from the 40 to take over for Hudson at full-forward.
