Philly Maher ruled out of Tipperary-Clare showdown
Tipperary full-back Philly Maher has been ruled out of this weekend's Munster hurling semi-final against Clare with a knee injury.
The player picked up the cartilage injury during training on Sunday evening and is expected to undergo an operation shortly.
Tipperary are due to announce their starting 15 for Sunday's showdown tomorrow evening.
Clare, meanwhile, have one major injury concern for the game, with Alan Markham nursing a hamstring problem.
