Kilkenny 3-25 Wexford 0-03

Kilkenny romped past Wexford in tonight's late Allianz NHL Division One kick-off - racing into an early 2-11 to 0-02 lead with both Henry Shefflin and Richie Power goaling.

Nowlan Park rocked to the beat of the crafty Cats as Brian Cody's side easily picked up their second straight second phase win - putting one foot in next month's final.

Brian Barry (0-04), Eoin Larkin and Martin Comerford (0-03 each) were in a rich vein of scoring form with Kilkenny on top despite the loss of captain Peter Barry through injury.

Bar Rory Jacob and Barry Lambert, Wexford were simply not at the races and multi All-Star DJ Carey wrapped up a record win over the Slayneysiders for Kilkenny – running through from full-forward on 62 minutes for a third goal.
