Cork get past Dublin comfortably
Cork 0-18 Dublin 1-06
Cork's accurate shooting put pay to Dublin's hopes of a third NFL Division 1A win on the trot as they ran out easy 0-18 to 1-06 winners at Pairc Ui Rinn.
James Masters top-scored with eight points for the Rebels as they temporarily moved into third spot in the standings after this round five romp.
Paul Caffrey's men kicked just two points in the first half - through last weekend's hero Tomas Quinn (free) and Mark Vaughan - trailing as they did, 0-02 to 0-11 at the break.
Masters kicked six points in the opening half-hour, including three expertly-hit '45s.
The Dubs failed to follow up on Jason Sherlock's goal immediately on the restart, by wasting four wides up to the 45th-minute.
Conor McCarthy and Brendan Jer O'Sullivan points opened up a 0-14 to 1-04 gap for the home side and although Collie Moran and Quinn (free) replied for Caffrey's side, Colin Crowley's late hat trick of points - with one a well-judged fisted score - helped Cork sail to a first league win since their opening night defeat of Kerry last month.
