Kerry take commanding lead against Faithfuls

All-Ireland champions Kerry are on course for their first win of the 2005 Allianz NFL Division 1A campaign after goals from Eoin Brosnan and Colm Cooper have book-ended a 2-8 to 0-5 first-half performance against Offaly.

Jack O'Connor's side - backed by the wind - hit 1-6 without reply, following the Faithfuls' final point of the half from Neville Coughlan on 15 minutes. Kerry full-forward Ronan O'Connor notched three frees.

But Tomás Ó Sé's yellow card for a foul on the advancing Ciaran McManus in injury time has given Offaly a slight impetus going into the break.
