Donegal: Devanney due back in training

Donegal attacker Brendan Devenney is due to return to training next week, having served out a 24-week ban.

However, the forward is unlikely to play any part in Donegal's Dr McKenna Cup campaign, as he has to finish out the soccer season with club side Limavady United.

Devenney was suspended for pushing referee Joe McQuillan during last year's championship defeat to Fermanagh.

Devenney said: "My soccer season ends about the same time as the National League begins and I don’t plan to take any major break so things should work out okay."
