Matty Forde in talks over dual role

Wexford's All Star footballer Matty Forde met manager Pat Roe last night to discuss committing himself to hurling as well as football this season.

The GPA Footballer of the Year has been linked with Seamus Murphy's hurling squad recently and lined out for the county in the annual Purple and Gold All Stars match two weeks ago. Forde also plays club hurling for Ballyfad.

The prospect of Forde becoming a dual player has led to talk of a return to dual action for Redmond Barry and Rory Mallon.
