Moran to captain Limerick hurlers

Limerick defender Ollie Moran is set to captain the county's hurling team for the 2005 season.

Last year's captain TJ Ryan had been expected to again lead the Shannonsiders, but the Ahane club man is set to get the nod.

Ahane beat Ryan's Garryspillane in the county final in September.

Limerick face Cork in their first National League game in February, and the Treatymen's championship campaign gets underway on May 15, when they travel to Thurles to play Tipperary.
