Tipp chooses Séamus

Séamus McCarthy was last night ratified as the new Tipperary football manager at a meeting of the county board.

His selectors Colm O'Flaherty, Jim Healy and John Owens were also ratified.

The management team was appointed for two years, with a review in 12 months.

McCarthy and his selectors will also take charge of the Premier U21 footballers.
