McManus-sponsored Limerick kit to be unveiled

The Limerick County Board will launch their new kit, which will be sponsored by millionaire businessman JP McManus, tomorrow night.

However, McManus is unable to attend the function due to business commitments.

The South Liberties club man has agreed to sponsor all Limerick county teams (with the exception of the minor footballers, who have their own deal) after Red Cow Moran's Hotels revealed they would not be renewing their deal.

It is not known what the Limerick jerseys will read, but county secretary Jimmy Hartigan said: "A decision has been reached with the sponsor on the message to be conveyed on the playing gear. However, nothing is being revealed until the night."
