Wexford: Murphy appointment expected
Seamus Murphy is expected to be appointed Wexford senior hurling manager today.
Rathnure man Murphy has led the club to back-to-back county titles and steered the county U21s to provincial success in 2001 and 2002.
County secretary Michael Kinsella is expected to be a part of his backroom team.
Murphy is a club mate of former boss John Conran, who resigned in the wake of the Slaneysiders' disastrous All-Ireland semi-final defeat to eventual champions Cork this year.
Conran had led Wexford to a Leinster title, breaking Kilkenny's six-year grip on the provincial trophy.
