Sligo want Dommie, claims reports

Dominic Corrigan is reportedly the man Sligo want to appoint senior football manager.

However, the former Fermanagh manager is thought not to be ready to discuss the position while his current charges, Tyrone champions Carrickmore, are still involved in the Ulster club championship.

Carrickmore earned a semi-final spot yesterday in defeating Antrim kingpins St Gall's after a replay in Belfast.

Sligo are without a manager after James Kearins resigned earlier in the summer after the westerners went down in the Connacht semi-final replay to Roscommon. They were then knocked out of the qualifiers as Clare caused an upset in Ennis.

Kearins refused to prepare the team for the ensuing Tommy Murphy Cup competition, and Paul Durcan took over temporarily. Sligo lost the Cup final, again to Clare.

The Sligo county board are keen to appoint a manager by the end of the month.
