Cooper, Ó hAilpín take awards
Kerry footballer Colm Cooper and Cork hurler Seán Óg Ó hAilpín have won the 2004 Texaco football and hurling awards.
Cooper put in a man-of-the-match display in this year's All-Ireland final defeat of Mayo, scoring 1-5 en route to his first Sam Maguire.
Ó hAilpín was Cork's outstanding player as the Rebels avenged last year's defeat by Kilkenny in this year's final, against the same opposition.
The Na Piarsaigh man collected the GPA Player of the Year award for hurling last week and is favourite to win the overall Hurler of the Year at this month's All Stars.
