Farrell rubbishes Dubs boss rumours

GPA chief executive Dessie Farrell has rubbished speculation that he has been touted as a potential successor to Tommy Lyons as Dublin football manager.

Farrell and former Dublin star Keith Barr, both players on Dublin’s 1995 All-Ireland winning team, were rumoured to have held meetings with county board official John Bailey last week.

However, Farrell rubbished the claims. "It is laughable," he said.

Farrell is recovering from a knee ligament injury incurred during the Dubs' championship victory over Roscommon at Croke Park in August.
