Dublin could face great rivals Meath as early as the quarter-finals of the 2005 Leinster football championship, following last night's provincial draw.

Eleven teams are set to contest the provincial championship. Offaly will take on Louth, Wicklow are

set to take on Kildare, while the Dubs play Longford, who they defeated comprehesively in this year's qualifiers, in three preliminary round ties.

The winners move to the quarter-finals, and face Laois, Westmeath and Meath respectively.

Last year's semi-finalists - Laois, Meath, Westmeath and Wexford - have byes to the quarter-finals.

The remaining seven sides went into the drum to play three first round ties, with Carlow receiving a bye to face Wexford in the quarter-finals.

Leinster SFC

Preliminary round: Offaly v Louth; Wicklow v Kildare; Dublin v Longford.

Quarter-finals:

(1) Offaly/Louth v Laois;

(2) Wicklow/Kildare v Westmeath;

(3) Dublin/Longford v Meath;

(4) Carlow v Wexford.

Semi-finals:

Winners QF1 v Winners QF2; Winners QF3 v Winners QF4.
