Tyrone claim All-Ireland minor crown

Tyrone have won the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship as they held on against Kerry at Croke Park today.

The Red Hand Tyrone took a one-point advantage at half-time in the All-Ireland Minor Football Final at Croke Park today, leading 0-6 to 0-5.

Kerry's Paul O'Connor grabbed 0-3 for the Kingdom in the first half and was unlucky not to score a goal after four minutes when his shot rebounded off the crossbar.

Tyrone edged ahead just before half-time as Ronan McCrory put the Red Hand ahead in injury time.

In the second half, led by Raymond Mulgrew, Tyrone continued to hold on to their narrow lead an in the last few minutes stretched the lead to three points.

Kerry did pull a point back through O'Connor as he went for goal but could only strike over the bar and Tyrone continued the county's great recent football tradition.
