Kernan set for Armagh recall
Joe Kernan is expected to be reappointed by the Armagh county board tonight.
The Crossmaglen man and his selectors Paul Grimley and John McCloskey resolved to give it another year following the one-point defeat by Fermanagh in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
Talismanic captain Kieran McGeeney has also hinted that he would be willing to stay on if Kernan was reinstated.
Kernan took over from Brian McAlinden and Brian Canavan in late 2001, after steering Crossmaglen Rangers to three All-Ireland club titles.
He then led the Orchard County to its first senior All-Ireland title, as well as two Ulster titles.
