Galway claim All Ireland Minor Hurling title in Tullamore replay

Galway have won the All Ireland Minor Hurling Final Replay today in Tullamore today with a tight one-point victory over Kilkenny.

A goal from Eoin Guinan after eight minutes gave Kilkenny the early advantage but Galway managed to level the match by half-time, 0-09 to 1-06.

Galway dominated from early in the second half, but Kilkenny fought back late-on, whittling the lead down until Galway were defending their tenuous one-point advantage at the final whistle.

Kilkenny had staged a dramatic comeback last Sunday scoring 1-18 in Croke Park to earn themselves a replay, after three Galway goals had seemed to have won the game on a tally of 3-12.
