Tipp set to retain camogie crown
Tipperary 1-6 Cork 0-4
Champions Tipperary lead at half-time in the centenary year edition of the Foras na Gaeilge All-Ireland Camogie final at Croke Park.
Deirdre Hughes struck an 18th minute goal as Raymie Ryan's charges swept into the lead.
Corner forward Claire Grogan has been unerring in her free-taking, hitting five first class efforts, with Eimear McDonnell adding a late score from play.
Cork, without a title since 2002, went in front after three-and-a-half minutes through Emer Dillon. She added a second to her tally 30 seconds before Hughes' goal.
Gemma O'Connor and Jennifer O'Leary, from a '45, have also been on target for the Rebelettes.
Their juniors took the curtain raiser, defeating Down 4-5 to 2-4 for their seventh title at the grade.
