Tyrone trainer Nally steps down

Tyrone football trainer Paddy Nally has stepped down from his role. Tally confirmed the surprise news but would not comment any further.

"We won't be working together next year. That's it. I don't have anything further to say," Tally said.

Tyrone boss Mickey Harte said their "working relationship no longer exists".

Harte called up Tally as his team trainer immediately after his appointment two years ago.

The Red Hands went on to retain their National League crown before their season culminated in the capture of the Sam Maguire for the first time in the county's history.

County board officials are understood to be shocked by the news.
