DJ rubbishes retirement rumours

Kilkenny star attacker DJ Carey has put paid to rumours that he is about to retire in the wake of yesterday's All-Ireland hurling final defeat to Cork.

The Gowran clubman was thought to have been thinking about hanging up his boots after 17 senior championship campaigns with the Cats.

However the 33-year-old, who didn't score yesterday, said: "The way the game is going it's getting harder and harder. But it's not my intention at the moment to give it up."
