Kerry and Dublin face off in semis

Kerry and Dublin renew their age-old rivalry in the first of the TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football semi-finals at O'Moore Park in Portlaoise today.

The sides made it through their quarter-finals in varying manners. The Jackies pulled off a late, late win to dispose of Donegal after extra time in Parnell Park in their quarter-final.

A late goal by Angie McNally, coupled with Mary Nevin's overall contribution, saw Dublin through after Donegal hit a late point to send the game to extra-time.

Meanwhile, Kerry had a facile 5-10 to 3-11 win over northerners Monaghan.

The 11 time All-Ireland champions tore the Monaghan defence apart at times with some vintage displays.

The dangerous Ger O'Shea, who scored 3-4 in the quarter-final, will take some watching by the Dubs today, and it is difficult to envisage Kerry not advancing to the final.
