Páidí Ó Sé is to stay at the helm in Westmeath, it has been confirmed.

The All-Ireland winning player and manager will take charge of the Lake County for the remaining year of his two-year contract.

The deal was ratified by the Westmeath County Board on Wednesday night.

Ó Sé brought the county its first ever provincial championship honours this year, as the Lakers dethroned Laois after a replay.
