Date set for Kearins decision
James Kearins will know whether he will continue as Sligo football boss when he meets with the county board on September 7.
Kearins fell out with board officials when he refused to prepare his side for the Tommy Murphy Cup and Sligo turned to former player Paul Durcan to guide them instead. They lost the final to Clare in Croke Park last Sunday.
Kearins has stated his interest in staying in charge, but in light of the controversy over the new competition, it is unlikely he will be reappointed.
