Dublin to decide Lyons' fate next month
The Dublin County Board has confirmed that it will not determine the fate of boss Tommy Lyons until their next board meeting on September 6.
Lyons hinted that Saturday may have been his last day in charge of the Dubs following their defeat to Kerry in the All-Ireland quarter-final.
Lyons led the Dubs to a Leinster title in only his first year in charge in 2002, but the Metropolitans have failed to live up to that year, losing also to Armagh in 2003 and Westmeath in June.
After Saturday's loss to Kerry, Lyons said he was "honoured to have served three years", but would not be drawn on his future.
