Durcan to take charge for Tommy Murphy Cup

Sligo midfielder Paul Durcan will take charge of his county side for the Tommy Murphy Cup.

The veteran player agreed to take charge temporarily after outgoing boss James Kearins refused to manage the team for the competition.

The Tommy Murphy Cup was introduced to benefit the so-called weaker counties, but a host of sides withdrew, leaving only four teams in the contest.

Sligo face Antrim in the semi-final on Saturday in Dungannon.
