Tyrone see off gallant Galway

A fine second half display by Tyrone helped them see off a gallant Galway side in the All-Ireland qualifiers at Croke Park today.

Tyrone led Galway by two points at half-time as Galway rued a missed penalty from Derek Savage.

Earlier Brian McGuigan made no mistake when he finished off a brilliant Tyrone move for the only goal of the game.

In the second half Tyrone stepped up a gear and, inspired by substitute Peter Canavan, eventually saw off the Tribesmen comfortably.
