Dublin star Keaney to escape stiff sentence
Dublin's dual star Conal Keaney looks set to escape a three month ban following his red card dismissal while on hurling duty against Westmeath.
It is understood that the Ballyboden clubman and former AllStar nominee has been reported for dangerous play and not striking with the hurl, which would carry a much stiffer sentence.
All going to plan, Keaney could be back in Tommy Lyons' football plans in time for a third round qualifier tie next month if, of course, the Dubs get that far.
