Rebels' Munster Final changes cause a stir
Rebels boss Donal O'Grady has caused a stir with his decision to bring Brian Corcoran and Garvan McCarthy to the Cork team ahead of Sunday's Munster final against Waterford.
Corcoran hasn't started a game for Cork since 2001 after which he opted to retire from the game but the return of the former Hurler of the Year has been broadly welcomed.
Corcoran's inclusion isn't the only surprise because boss Donal O'Grady has also included the little-known Garvan McCarthy at wing-forward with Mickey O'Connell and Jonathan O'Callaghan axed.
John Gardiner, recovering from injury, drops to the half-back line with O'Grady pairing up Jerry O'Connor and Tom Kenny in a surprise midfield partnership.
Cork (SH v Waterford): D Og Cusack; W Sherlock, D O'Sullivan, B Murphy; J Gardiner, R Curran, S Og O hAilpin; T Kenny, J O'Connor; G McCarthy, N McCarthy, T McCarthy; B O'Connor, B Corcoran, J Deane.
