DJ won't be ready for Cats' qualifer

Kilkenny hero DJ Carey has confirmed that he won't be in contention for a starting place in the first round of the qualifiers on Saturday week.

Kilkenny play the losers of the game between Dublin and Offaly and the return of Carey to the first team would be a big bonus after their loss to Wexford last Sunday.

However, the Young Irelands forward, who came on in the second-half during the defeat to Wexford, has admitted it's highly unlikely that he'll have enough training behind him to figure from the start.
