Shanahan and Nevin win Player of the Month awards

Waterford’s Dan Shanahan and Carlow’s Johnny Nevin have been named as the Vodafone GAA All-Stars hurler and footballer of the month for May.

Shanahan has been in spectacular form this year and scored 3-1 in Waterford’s win over Clare in the Munster hurling championship last month.

He also netted another two goals against Tipperary earlier this month.

Nevin, meanwhile, was invaluable in Carlow’s Leinster championship victory against Longford last month.
