Dublin blow London away to win qualifier
Dublin 3-24
London 0-6
Dublin racked up a cricket score to blow lacklustre London away and get their All-Ireland championship challenge somewhat back on track.
Parnell Park was a sea of blue and the feel-good factor returned to the capital as a Senan Connell and Alan Brogan-inspired Dublin side easily won out in the first round of the qualifiers.
Brogan finished with 2-4 to his credit and Connell racked up 0-7 on a day when Dublin forgot the pain of defeat to Westmeath last time out.
In fact, Dublin had a massive 2-12 racked up before London even managed a point, a 34th-mintue effort from Brendan Egan.
The Blues' 2-12 to 0-1 half-time lead was soon built upon and despite a couple of Wexford points from Fergus McMahon, 0-3 overall, and Scott Doran Dublin were quickly back on track.
With Connell, Ray Cosgrove and Jason Sherlock all hitting the mark they opened up a 2-22 to 0-3 lead before netting their third goal after 64 minutes.
Sherlock played in Brogan and the livewire forward struck to the far corner of the net to ultimately kill off lowly London.
