Dublin chairman Bailey brands columnists a 'disgrace'
Dublin county board chairman John Bailey has branded a string of former county stars a 'disgrace' for sticking the boot into Tommy Lyons.
The likes of Keith Barr and Paul Curran have once again used newspaper columns to show their lack of faith in Lyons who led Dublin to an opening day loss against Leinster rivals Westmeath on Sunday.
Bailey branded them a disgrace and said that they are doing their county no favours.
But it looks like those predicting Lyons' downfall will be proved correct with one bookmaker already accepting bets on who will be the next boss.
Boylesports bookies have installed former star midfielder Brian Mullins as a 6/4 favourite to land the top job with Brian Talty at 2/1 and former selector and All-Ireland winning skipper John O'Leary at 8/1.
