Offaly release statement on disputed point issue

The Offaly county board has released a statement highlighting their anger about a point they claim was actually wide in their one point defeat to Westmeath last Sunday.

Offaly claim they have video evidence which proves that Brian Morley's 22nd minute point in their Leinster championship tie at Croke Park for Westmeath was wide.

The statement read: "Offaly County Board is extremely annoyed at being eliminated from the championship in such an unsatisfactory manner."
