Laois boss Micko rules Clancy out of opener

Laois boss Mick O'Dwyer has revealed that Padraic Clancy is a serious doubt to make their Leinster opener against either Longford or Carlow.

In a further blow, O'Dwyer admitted that the thumb injury sustained by the Timahoe midfielder could keep him out until after a possible Leinster semi-final.

O'Dwyer said: "He can't be rushed back so we are ruling him out of the first game. I wouldn't be too confident of him being available for a Leinster semi-final at this stage."
