Clare star Quinn suffers eye injury

Clare hurler Andrew Quinn has become the latest high-profile player to suffer a serious eye injury.

The young forward is believed to have fractured a bone in his eye socket during an U-21 club game for Tulla.

A motion will be put to congress next weekend seeking mandatory faceguards to be introduced for all hurlers.
